Waking up this morning, I decided I’d do my treadmill exercise after my morning coffee and daily Thought Massage reflection. I enjoy my coffee, welcome the massage to my thought, don my exercise clothing and grab my gear – my free weights for arm strengthening and toning, water for nourishing and replenishing, towel to wipe the result of my workout and wipettes to wipe down the machine. Course, I take my phone and keys.
Opening the door of my Quaint Castle, I welcome the warmth of the sun as it embraces my face. Locking the door, I then traverse down the stairs. As I’m enjoying my stroll toward the gym that awaits me around the bend in the community I call home, little did I know I was about to embark on a Mind Adventure.
In my mind, my treadmill connection was going to be my running and walk combo. I enter the intimate, inviting gym, wipe down the treadmill’s extremities and hop on. I notice the incline rests at 4.0, so I decide to keep it at that. I’d normally would have de-clined it to 1.0 to begin my warm up, geared to put a serious pep in my step.
I’m walking now and with my eyes closed, I begin my visualization, suddenly, I find myself climbing the Bell Mountain in Sedona, Arizona. I’m climbing and seeing the peak. Okay, five minutes pass, I open my eyes and increase the incline to a nice 8.0. I’m at 8.0 now and again, I close my eyes – enjoying my nice mountain hike. At a moment’s notice, I’m climbing the Red Rock, on my way to the Chapel of the Holy Cross (Wow, the mind is awesome – defying logic, gravity, physical reality – without motion, I move from one magnificent mountain to the next).
I’m climbing, the sun is shining, the mountain glowing from the Holiness of the energy from the twirl of the vortex, five minutes pass; I open my eyes and increase the incline to 12.0. Closing my eyes, I’m climbing to reach the Chapel, oh my feet feel so powerful, connecting with the energy of the earth; my legs feel so good, my arms feel so fine; the wind in my beautiful salt & pepper hair touches the smoothness of my crown. Ooouuu, after five minutes, I reach the summit. I am here. I’m standing at the Chapel of the Holy Cross! I begin to make my way back down Red Rock…Maybe I’ll venture inside tomorrow.
Ahhh, LIFE…what a wonderful Mind Adventure it turned out to be.
